Do You Use a Personal Bubble?

When you read that title, what do you think of? Some folks have told me that it makes them think of Glinda, The Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz, which always makes me laugh. While Glinda’s bubble was her preferred mode of transportation, your bubble is a great form of energetic protection. And it’s super simple to activate!

Let’s face it. The world and other people aren’t always happy. And even if you’re not a full-blown Empath, you will still pick up on those not so awesome vibes. And if you ARE a full-blown Empath, holy smokes can that be overwhelming. So how do we protect ourselves from other people’s yuck? There are quite a few ways to do this, but one of my favorites is creating my own personal energetic bubble. It’s fast, easy, and doesn’t require any special tools.

I’ve had quite a few Reiki clients recently that have closed down their Crown chakras to avoid dealing with the unease present in the Collective. Your Crown chakra connects you to the Divine (God/Source/Universe/whatever term you prefer), and it also connects you to the Oneness (the Collective). But closing down your Crown chakra also keeps you from receiving all the good stuff too. So having a filter is a much better way to go, and this is where your personal bubble comes in.

Establishing your bubble is a very quick visualization and intention setting practice.

Imagine yourself encased in a bubble of light. I personally like to use white light, but others use gold, iridescent, or even glittery pink; you can choose whatever color resonates with you. You can also decide if you prefer a round bubble or an egg shape. Once you’ve visualized yourself inside this bubble, set your intention that your bubble is only permeable by love and light. You can also call on your Higher Self, Spirit Guides, or anyone else you’d like to help you with this intention. And that’s it! You’re now inside your bubble of protection. By setting your intention that the bubble is only permeable by love and light, you’ve established a filter that lets the good stuff in while keeping the yucky stuff out.

Now, you may have days that are just overwhelming, so it’s absolutely okay to re-establish your bubble periodically throughout the day. I personally like to establish my bubble before I even get out of bed in the morning. I then reinforce it if I have to go out in public or am just having a day where the Collective feels just a bit too heavy. There is no limit to how many times you can reinforce it for yourself. And since it’s so quick and easy to do it, you can do it anywhere!
